Are you looking for this?

To: Covenant Payroll
Covenant Aviation Security, L.L.C.
1350 Bayshore Highway, Suite 450
Burlingame, CA. 94010

I am a nonmember of the SEIU union. If your records show me to be a member, I resign effective immediately.

Effective immediately (the next available payroll), please discontinue my automatic payroll deduction of Union fees. I hereby revoke any previously signed automatic payroll deduction authorization. Since the contract with SEIU USWW ended on December 31,2011, there is currently a "hiatus" and I should owe nothing in dues for the foreseeable future. Please collect no further dues from my salary.

Furthermore, if and when there exists a contractual dues obligation, I request that I only pay the reduced agency fees under CWA v. Beck, 1988.

I object to any union expenditures for political and nonrepresentational activities. Please consider my Beck objection and dues revocation to be permanent and continuing in nature.

Respectfully Submitted,

It's time for you to show where you stand!

There is a form letter going around that challenges the collection of union dues and what you can do about it.

We are not going to spoon feed you this bit of information, but if you are really fed up with this do nothing union, start a little detective work.

No, we are not pulling your leg, it's real. The onus is on you to find out where you can pick one up, why and how it was generated and how it might benefit you.

Get a move on it; the clock is ticking!

Could this be true?

Word has it that the TSA is looking into getting dosimeter badges for the workforce. Of course, they are still sticking to their claims of, "there is no risk to the public or the workforce."

But, to alleviate the concerns of the workforce, they appear to be relenting on the issue of supplying these radiation detection badges.

And The Fight Goes On!

The list of Doctor's and Scientist's against the use of body scanners keeps growing. In an article published yesterday in the SunSentinel, the head of radiology at Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, a Dr. Edward Dauer, focused on specific areas of the body that could be particularly susceptible to these x-rays.

And yet, the TSA seems to be still be refusing to acknowledge what anyone, aside from their own biased sources, has to say about the safety of these machines.

When will they concede to the obvious? These machines are a health threat!

The Greedy versus the Needy!

Very shortly, we will know the results of the negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Let's see, if our do nothing union, comes away with something that they can hold their collective heads up high about.

At some point, they should have to prove that they deserve to be kept in place and, that our dues are well spent. Has that day arrived?

There are many things that we would like to see this union walk away with. They know all too well what those things are. It is time for them to represent the dues paying membership adequately.

How about shift differential? What say you?
