So there's no wonder the furor that is generated when a scheduling pleb sends out an email stating a company change in policy in regards to scanning in early and scanning out late. Really?! Does management not have any brains? Wait, sorry, I forgot who I was talking about.
According to CBA section 1, article 11 it states:
The Employer shall notify the Union Stewards and the Union at least thirty (30) days prior to implementing any new written policies or procedures affecting employees covered under this Agreement, including changes in the Employee Handbook.
Remember this folks, much of what management attempts to do is merely scare tactics. They bank on your ignorance of your rights, the laws, and the CBA.
Now there does happen to be a good reason for the panic attack from scheduling in regard to the scanning in early and scanning out late issue. Apparently CAS is looking to get rid of the B sheet and going back to the hand scans for payroll. If we all clock in too early there will be discrepancies with authorized or unauthorized overtime. See, now was that so difficult CAS?
to all TSO's and LTSo's contact John Pistole and every congressman and congresswoman on the comittee for Homeland security and every news outlet and every arline to report the abuse of CAS . This abuse has to be stopped. And it will stop by getting rid of CAS.Sorry I see no other alternative.
ReplyDelete1) I don't see official addendum to its employee handbook regarding new clock in and clock out policy.
ReplyDelete2) CAS failed to notify Union 30 days in advance regards new clock in and out policy. A breach of CBA. Where is Union to file grievance? Are they falling asleep on the couch and let it get by?
3) Has anyone noticed how CAS distributed this new policy? It's an internal email from Janice Peck, "the Sr. Assistant of ACC". Not from her boss, Terrance, not even from Donnie, the Director of Ops, nor HR when it comes to official policies. CAS is just playing games with us and see how far they could push us.
And questions for our Union, SEIU:
What the heck are you doing for letting this get by? Where is your action? Why are we even forced to pay dues for? We demand to see better and different leadership from our Union. Acting silence will further result breach of CBA in the future AGAIN!
