SEIU and their not so hidden agenda

The flash banner, that runs just above the date, had an interesting title that caught our collective eyes. It's under "SEIU/RedState" and it makes for interesting reading.

After reading this article you will completely understand why SEIU wants to raise our dues. But, we have been trying to tell you this for some time, so, read on and don't forget to pick up your form letter.

About That Form Letter..

More copies will be made available to those who wish to fill it out.

An unverified rumor about SEIU and CAS extending the old contract is being bandy about. Our advice to you is to continue to pick up a form, fill it out, and turn it in. At the very least you will be paying dues at the reduced rate of 1.2% instead of 1.8%.

You also are telling SEIU that you do not want your dues being used in a way that you do not approve of. You have nothing to lose!

Updated Instructions for mailing the Form!

Our lawyer has stated that there is no need to send your forms as registered mail. All we need to do is to make a good faith attempt to mail it to them.

BTW....have you noticed that Whitfield has reappeared at the airport after being gone for so long? It seems that this letter, and the signup campaign, has caught their attention.

(We are seeing other long missing members of the Oakland chapter of SEIU out here again.)

Get your boots out folks, it's going to get knee high here pretty soon!

A Snapshot of SEIU!

SEIU has roughly 2.2 million members nationwide. Over 700,000 of them are in California.

In 2008, an election year, SEIU contributed, to the candidates of their choice within the state of California alone, 30 million dollars! Just what were their contributions at the national level?

It has been reported that unions contributed half a billion dollars to get Obama elected. Does anyone not know the reason why?

Let's use these numbers as an example: Our yearly raise has been, let's say, 3%. From that 3% SEIU takes out 1.8% for dues. (It's funny how that works!) We get 1.2% and they get 1.8%. This doesn't seem fair, does it?

The majority of the baggage community, so we have been told, pays at a reduced rate of 1.2%. (which riles the union to no end.) They have been trying to get the baggage community to once again become full members, but to no avail.

Now, we are hearing, that the union wants to raise our dues, which is the ultimate insult. They have done nothing in the 9 plus years that they have represented the rank and file. So, in this election year, it seems that they want to raise their level of contributions, to the candidates of their choice, at our expense.

Will you stand by idly and do nothing about this?

Think long and hard about stepping up and letting your voice be heard. Enough is enough!

Fill out the form sheet, follow the instructions and turn it in.

Good luck to us all!

Are you looking for this?

To: Covenant Payroll
Covenant Aviation Security, L.L.C.
1350 Bayshore Highway, Suite 450
Burlingame, CA. 94010

I am a nonmember of the SEIU union. If your records show me to be a member, I resign effective immediately.

Effective immediately (the next available payroll), please discontinue my automatic payroll deduction of Union fees. I hereby revoke any previously signed automatic payroll deduction authorization. Since the contract with SEIU USWW ended on December 31,2011, there is currently a "hiatus" and I should owe nothing in dues for the foreseeable future. Please collect no further dues from my salary.

Furthermore, if and when there exists a contractual dues obligation, I request that I only pay the reduced agency fees under CWA v. Beck, 1988.

I object to any union expenditures for political and nonrepresentational activities. Please consider my Beck objection and dues revocation to be permanent and continuing in nature.

Respectfully Submitted,

It's time for you to show where you stand!

There is a form letter going around that challenges the collection of union dues and what you can do about it.

We are not going to spoon feed you this bit of information, but if you are really fed up with this do nothing union, start a little detective work.

No, we are not pulling your leg, it's real. The onus is on you to find out where you can pick one up, why and how it was generated and how it might benefit you.

Get a move on it; the clock is ticking!

Could this be true?

Word has it that the TSA is looking into getting dosimeter badges for the workforce. Of course, they are still sticking to their claims of, "there is no risk to the public or the workforce."

But, to alleviate the concerns of the workforce, they appear to be relenting on the issue of supplying these radiation detection badges.
